As the owner of Rockapup, Lisa’s vision is to provide the community a
place where you can get all your pets’ needs met – from food and supplies to
training and education. Experienced with animals including birds, cats, fish,
and small animals, Lisa specializes in dog training and general health.
As a Certified Dog Trainer with CPDT and a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator with the American Kennel Club for the past ten years, Lisa has worked directly with dogs. She is a member of national training associations, International Association of Canine Professionals and Association of Pet Dog Trainers and currently studying to become a canine nutritionist. Lisa is well versed in nearly all methods of dog training, from clicker training to remote collars and finds that each has its place. At Rockapup, she ensures each of these methods are available to meet owners and their pets’ needs through different types of trainers, workshops and classes.

Dan’s
first job was at Petland Discounts at the age of 12. Five years later, he was Petland’s store manager. Just three years following that, Dan opened up his first
pet shop here in the Rockaways.
While Dan has worked in retail for 35 years with
nearly every kind of animal, his true passion lies with fish. He is Former Vice
President of Nassau County Aquarium Society (NCAS) and currently serves on its Board
of Directors. Dan also holds Certification as Tropical Fish Master Breeder of from
NCAS. He received his degree in Business Management from Sullivan College.
